Secretary of State Marco Rubio officially announced the conclusion of "Operation Great Rage" today, declaring that the mission had successfully achieved its objectives in the ongoing campaign involving Iran. Speaking from the White House, Rubio explained that the U.S. military will now pivot its focus toward "Project Freedom." This new operation is defined as a purely defensive effort aimed at ensuring the freedom of navigation and the safe extraction of trapped foreign nationals from the region.

The Secretary revealed the staggering scale of the humanitarian crisis, noting that nearly 23,000 citizens from 87 different countries had been stuck in the Gulf for over two months due to Iranian activity. Rubio described Project Freedom as a shield for these civilians and commercial vessels. "There are no shots unless they shoot at us," he clarified, insisting that the U.S. is not the aggressor but will respond with force if any ship under its protection is targeted.

Reporting early wins for the new strategy, Rubio confirmed that two American merchant ships successfully navigated the Strait of Hormuz during the initial stages of the project. He noted that these vessels are now traveling safely toward their destinations. Despite this progress, Rubio warned that the Iranian leadership remains "crazy in the head" and deeply divided, which has made it difficult for them to make a rational decision to end the war.

Addressing the nuclear issue, Rubio challenged the regime's claims of a peaceful program, noting that countries wanting power plants simply import enriched material rather than enriching it themselves. "They don't behave as if that is what they want, they behave as if they want a military nuclear program," he said. He warned that while a diplomatic track currently exists, it will not remain available forever as U.S. leverage over a weakening Iran continues to grow daily.

As part of the pressure campaign, the U.S. has circulated a draft resolution to the UN Security Council in collaboration with several Gulf allies, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The resolution demands that Tehran stop its attacks and reveal the locations of underwater mines it has laid in international shipping lanes. Rubio accused Iran of holding the global economy hostage and expects the international community to support the new measures to secure the vital waterway.
