Reza Pahlavi, the exiled Crown Prince of Iran and son of the late Shah, was targeted in a physical assault today as he arrived in Germany to lobby for international support against the Ayatollah regime.

The incident occurred as Pahlavi was making his way to a scheduled lecture. Despite being surrounded by a security detail, a protester managed to throw orange paint at the Crown Prince, striking him on his back and hitting one of his assistants. The assailant was quickly removed by the prince’s entourage.

Pahlavi’s visit to Berlin is part of a broader diplomatic push to persuade European leaders to join military and political efforts to topple the Islamist regime in Tehran. While the United States and Israel have intensified pressure, many EU leaders have remained hesitant to fully align with the current offensive operations.

Addressing the skepticism of European leaders, Pahlavi delivered a defiant message during his visit:

"The choice is yours. With the world or without it, with Europe or without it, with Germany or without it - our struggle will continue. We will not rest until our land is liberated, until our people enjoy civil rights, and until justice is served."

Political Context

The attack in Berlin highlights the deep polarization within the Iranian diaspora and the volatile atmosphere surrounding the ongoing conflict. Pahlavi, whose father was deposed in the 1979 Islamic Revolution, has recently emerged as a key figure in discussions regarding a potential transitional government should the current regime collapse under the weight of U.S.-led military and economic pressure.

The Crown Prince remains undeterred by the incident, emphasizing that his mission to secure a "free and democratic Iran" remains the priority over personal safety.
