Three Pupils Stabbed at Co-op Academy in Blackley, Manchester
A female student has been arrested after three pupils were stabbed at a Manchester secondary school Tuesday morning. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

A female student was arrested at the scene after three pupils suffered knife wounds at Co-op Academy North Manchester on Plant Hill Road this morning (Tuesday, June 9, 2026).
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were called to the secondary school shortly before 9am. Emergency services, including police officers, ambulances, and an air ambulance helicopter, responded quickly to the incident.
The three injured pupils received treatment at the scene. Their injuries are not believed to be serious or life-threatening.
A GMP spokesperson said: "Officers are currently responding to an incident at a school on Plant Hill Road, Blackley where a schoolgirl has been arrested. Three people have been injured however injuries aren't believed to be serious at this time. Emergency services remain on scene and we are supporting the school. There is not believed to be any wider threat to the pupils and staff in the school."
The school went into lockdown as a precaution, with students instructed to remain in classrooms. Parents were notified, and some gathered outside the school as the situation developed.
Co-op Academy North Manchester is a mixed secondary school serving around 1,200 pupils in the Blackley area. It holds a 'Good' rating from Ofsted.
