US President Donald Trump announced overnight that a cabinet meeting planned for Camp David would instead be held at the White House because of bad weather.

Trump said in a post on Truth Social that the meeting, originally scheduled for the historic presidential retreat, would not be canceled but moved to Washington.

The planned Camp David meeting had drawn attention because of the unusual setting. The site is often used for sensitive discussions, major diplomatic meetings and closed-door strategic consultations away from the media. According to reports, all cabinet members were invited, including outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

A White House official said the meeting would focus on recent administration achievements, including economic gains, small-business policy, updates from the anti-fraud task force and foreign policy developments.

The change came as the administration continues to manage tensions with Iran and ongoing negotiations over a possible agreement to end the war.

Because presidents generally travel to Camp David by helicopter, meetings there can be affected by weather conditions. Trump said the session would proceed at the White House instead.
