Trump Demands Israel and Iran Stop Fighting Now

US President Donald Trump again called on Israel and Iran to halt their renewed fighting, posting a brief message Monday on Truth Social demanding an immediate stop to the attacks.
“Israel and Iran must stop the ‘shooting’ immediately,” Trump wrote, signing the post with his full name.
The message came after a night of escalation that included Iranian missile fire toward Israel, Israeli strikes in Iran and growing threats from Iranian-backed forces across the region.
Trump had already expressed frustration Sunday night over the renewed fighting, striking a conciliatory tone toward Tehran and urging Iran to return to negotiations.
“I suggest to Iran: you have fired enough, that is enough. Now return to the negotiating table,” Trump told Fox News.
At the same time, Trump appeared to criticize Israel over its strike in Beirut, saying he was angry about the attack and claiming there had been no coordination. Israeli officials have said the opposite, insisting that the strike in the Dahieh was fully coordinated in advance.
According to reports, Trump also said he planned to speak with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and tell him not to strike inside Iran.
The comments reflect Washington’s attempt to contain the escalation before it develops into a broader regional war. Israel, however, says it is responding to Iranian missile fire and will not accept new “equations” imposed by Tehran or its proxies.
Trump’s latest message suggests that the White House is still pressing both sides to stop the exchange, even as Israel prepares for several more days of fighting and Iran continues threatening further retaliation.
