Turkish Tourist Boat Ablaze With 100 Aboard
Fire breaks out on tour boat in Kütahya province as rescue teams race to save passengers; cause of blaze unknown

The vessel had departed on what was described as a standard tour around the provincial coastline. Typically used as a tourist attraction for river and coastal excursions, the boat has a passenger capacity exceeding 100 people. Turkish authorities estimate that as many as 114 people may have been on board when the fire erupted, placing their lives in danger.
The source of the blaze has not been determined, and information about the condition of passengers and crew remains unclear. The intense flames have caused the vessel to begin sinking, and rescue teams are currently operating at the scene.
