Iran-US Tensions

US Offers $10M for Iran Guard Commanders

State Department's Rewards for Justice program targets five top officials in Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including its commander and heads of drone, cyber, and intelligence units

US Offers $10 Million Bounties for Information on Senior IRGC Commanders

The United States is intensifying pressure on Iran's military leadership with a new bounty program targeting senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The State Department announced it will pay up to $10 million for information leading to the identification or location of five top IRGC officials.

The announcement came through the State Department's "Rewards for Justice" program. According to Washington, the five commanders oversee key branches of the Revolutionary Guard that are allegedly involved in operations against American military personnel, planning and executing terrorist activities, and conducting cyber operations against US infrastructure.

Topping the list is Ahmad Vahidi, identified in the American announcement as the IRGC commander. Ali Abdollahi, who heads the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters (the main body responsible for coordinating and commanding Iranian military operations) is the second leader named by the U.S. The State Department describes Abdollahi as one of the key figures involved in Iran's military decision-making.

The third individual is Saeed Aghajani, who commands the drone division of the IRGC's Aerospace Force. This represents one of the organization's central branches in unmanned aerial vehicle operations, a field that has become one of the most important components of Iran's military capabilities in recent years.

The list also includes Hamidreza Lashgarian, who heads the IRGC's Cyber and Electronic Command. The United States links Lashgarian to Iranian cyber activity against American infrastructure, and he already appears in Rewards for Justice materials related to cyber groups associated with the Revolutionary Guard.

The fifth target is Majid Khademi, who leads the IRGC's Intelligence Organization. Together, the American list covers several of the most critical nodes in Iran's military apparatus: supreme command, operational command, drone operations, cyber warfare, and intelligence.

The move is part of a broader Washington campaign against Iran's military establishment. Alongside the bounty offers, the United States announced new sanctions against individuals and networks connected to Iran's military activity, procurement operations, and economic infrastructure. The State Department noted that these measures are part of a maximum pressure policy on Tehran.

The announcement comes during a period of sharp tensions between Washington and Tehran, with the Revolutionary Guard continuing to stand at the center of American efforts to damage the Iranian regime's military, intelligence, and economic capabilities. From the US perspective, the message is clear: even the highest echelons of the organization are within reach of American intelligence efforts.
