Unavoidable Confrontation: US Prepares to Attack Iran

The United States is preparing for the possibility of a direct and prolonged military confrontation with Iran, according to reports published over the weekend.

The United States is intensifying military and political pressure on Iran, as the aircraft carrier "Gerald R. Ford" makes its way to the Middle East. This is the world's largest warship, leaving the Caribbean area to join the aircraft carrier "Abraham Lincoln" already stationed in the region. The military move, which was documented on President Donald Trump's Truth Social account, is designed to force Tehran to reach a new nuclear agreement under direct Pentagon strike threats.

In a speech delivered at Fort Bragg military base, President Trump sharpened his tone against Iranian leadership and claimed that replacing the religious establishment in Tehran is the preferred option for the administration. "Regime change in Iran is the best thing that could happen," Trump declared, adding criticism of the lack of political progress in recent decades. According to him, "for 47 years they talk and talk and talk. Meanwhile, we've lost many lives." While the President refrained from naming his preferred leaders in the country, he noted that there are figures capable of taking the reins of power.

In addition to these comments, official sources told Reuters that the US military is completing preparations for a campaign that could last many weeks and would not focus only on nuclear infrastructure, but also on government institutions and security bases of the Tehran regime. According to assessments in Washington, such an attack would lead to a round of prolonged exchanges of blows and mutual responses.

Despite the aggressive rhetoric and massive force deployment, Trump clarified that channels of negotiation have not closed. After a meeting at the White House with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the President emphasized that contacts with Tehran will continue, but set a clear condition for preventing military confrontation.

According to Trump, Iran must provide the United States with the same deal it should have offered from the beginning. This demand for a new and more stringent framework comes at a time when Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, has so far refrained from officially responding to the American President's statements.
