The "Shadow War" in Yemen: Secret Houthi Fortresses Destroyed in Precision Strikes

Mysterious precision strikes have decimated Houthi underground command centers and missile plants in Yemen, targeting Iranian-linked operations near Sanaa and the Bab el-Mandeb.

A series of massive, unattributed explosions has rocked strategic Houthi strongholds across Yemen over the past month, dealing a significant blow to the "Long Arm" of the Iranian-backed axis.

The strikes, characterized by surgical precision, have targeted fortified command centers and missile assembly plants, effectively neutralizing key threats to global shipping lanes without any nation officially claiming responsibility.

Striking the Strategic Nerve Centers

The campaign reached a crescendo four weeks ago at the Jabal Attan complex near Sanaa. Known as the "beating heart" of the Houthi missile program, this underground fortress was transformed into a landscape of fire and rubble.

Foreign reports suggest the primary objective was a secret bunker used for operational coordination between Iran and its regional proxies in Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen.

Immediately following the blasts, internet services in the area were cut, a move analysts believe was a Houthi attempt to contain a simultaneous cyberattack that accompanied the physical bombardment.

The Southern Front: Mokeiras and the Bab el-Mandeb

One week prior to the Jabal Attan strike, the Houthis suffered another devastating loss in the Mokeiras region of southern Yemen.

Sitting at an elevation of 2,200 meters, this site serves as a critical assembly point for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and ballistic missiles. Its proximity to the Bab el-Mandeb Strait makes it the primary launchpad for the "swarms" that have historically threatened freedom of navigation in the Arabian and Red Seas.

The "Silent Escalation"

The deafening silence from Israel, the United States, and the UAE, coupled with the recognized inability of the official Yemeni government to conduct such deep, high-tech strikes, points toward a sophisticated external coalition.

The strategic goals appear twofold:

A Changing Geopolitical Map

While the Trump administration focuses on diplomatic efforts to end the broader conflict with Tehran, these tactical strikes ensure that Iran’s "outposts" are significantly weakened before any final agreement is reached.

Reports also indicate that the United States is exploring a renewal of ties with Eritrea, seeking to leverage its extensive coastline directly opposite Yemen to secure the maritime corridor. As Houthi capabilities continue to be degraded by these mysterious "shadow" operations, the balance of power in the Red Sea is shifting rapidly under the radar.
