Multi-Front Iranian Attack Hits Israel
Operation "Lion's Roar" intensifies: As the IAF strikes Beirut and Tehran, Iran launched a massive barrage of missiles and drones targeting Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Meanwhile, reports emerge of mining in the Strait of Hormuz and a cyberattack on the Academy of the Hebrew Language.
Throughout the night, sirens blared in six separate waves across Israel, from the Gush Dan and Sharon regions to the north and south, following direct launches from Iranian territory. Israeli air defense systems recorded a series of successful interceptions, with Magen David Adom (MDA) reporting only minor injuries sustained by individuals running to shelters and several cases of anxiety.
The Iranian offensive was not limited to Israel. The United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia defense systems intercepted missiles and drones launched from Iran. In Saudi Arabia, officials confirmed that seven ballistic missiles were intercepted heading toward the Prince Sultan Air Base, while the UAE successfully thwarted attacks aimed at energy facilities. Simultaneously, a U.S. diplomatic facility near Baghdad International Airport was targeted by drone strikes.
The Lebanese Front and Israeli Response
The IDF responded by expanding the scope of its strikes in Lebanon. Israeli air and naval forces targeted sites in West Beirut, outside the Dahiyeh district, including a targeted assassination and hits on terror infrastructure. An IDF spokesperson warned that while Hezbollah is attempting to increase its range of fire, the organization is "suffering heavy blows." Additionally, reports indicated a wave of strikes in the heart of Tehran.
Mines in Hormuz and Cyber Warfare
Beyond the kinetic battlefield, reports suggest that Iran has planted mines in the Strait of Hormuz. President Donald Trump responded sharply to the reports, stating: "If those mines are not removed immediately, there will be severe consequences."
The digital front also saw a high-profile incident as the "Handala" hacker group breached the website of the Academy of the Hebrew Language. Visitors to the site were met with a mocking message: "There is no need to learn Hebrew anymore; you won't need this language for much longer."
Tensions Within Iran
Inside Iran, the Chief of Police issued a stern warning to potential protesters, telling state television that anyone taking to the streets at the "behest of the enemy" would be treated as an enemy of the state rather than a protester, noting that security forces have their "fingers on the trigger."
