Iran Prepares for "Bloody Ground War"

"We Will Fight": Iran’s Foreign Minister Issues Brutal Warning Over American Ground Troops

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned that his forces will attack US bases in neighboring Gulf countries and engage American ground troops if they enter Iranian territory.

In a candid and aggressive interview with NBC, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi laid out the regime's remaining strategic options as it faces a dual onslaught from Israel and the United States. Araghchi made it clear that while his country's air defenses have been decimated, the regime is prepared to turn any potential ground invasion into a bloody and prolonged war. He specifically warned that the Iranian military would not hesitate to engage American ground troops if they crossed the border. Furthermore, Araghchi confirmed that Iran is actively targeting US military installations located within the territories of its neighbors in the Persian Gulf, a move that threatens to draw the entire region into the escalating flames of the war.

Threatening the Persian Gulf Neighbors

Araghchi’s comments regarding the Arab neighbors of the Persian Gulf were particularly chilling, as they confirmed that Tehran views US bases in these countries as legitimate targets. "We are aiming at American bases and facilities that are unfortunately located on the territory of our neighbors," he stated, effectively warning the Gulf States that their decision to host US forces makes them complicit in the eyes of the regime. This admission comes amid reports that Iran has already attempted to strike regional assets, further isolating the Islamic Republic from its Arab peers. By publicly declaring these targets, Araghchi is attempting to use the fear of regional destabilization as leverage to force a halt to the coalition's military operations.

The Russian Shield

When questioned about the extent of Russian involvement in the war, Araghchi was intentionally vague but confirmed a deep and ongoing partnership. Reports have recently surfaced suggesting that Moscow is providing Tehran with real time intelligence on American and Israeli targets to help the regime's remaining missile units find their mark. While Araghchi claimed he did not have "exact information" on the specific types of intelligence being shared, he noted that "cooperation between Tehran and Moscow is not a new or secret issue, and Russia assists Iran in various fields." This alliance remains a critical variable in the war, as Russian technical assistance could potentially help the regime prolong its survival despite the massive loss of its own independent capabilities.

A Warning to Washington

The core of Araghchi’s message was directed at the White House, specifically regarding the possibility of a ground campaign. While the current war has been fought primarily through air strikes and precision assassinations, the Foreign Minister insisted that his forces are ready for a different kind of fight. "If the United States sends ground forces to Iran, our military forces will fight them," he promised. This rhetoric is likely intended to play on American fears of being drawn into another "forever war" in the Middle East. However, with the regime’s command and control centers being leveled and its top leadership being hunted, it remains unclear if the Iranian military actually possesses the organizational capacity to carry out such a defense against the world's most advanced ground forces.
