Following the explicit warning issued by the Revolutionary Guards toward universities in Israel and the United States, the Iranian "Fars" news agency published a detailed list of potential targets for attack today. The move comes as a response to strikes attributed to Israel against academic and research institutions on Iranian soil in recent times.

The published list includes 23 universities spread across the Middle East, led by major academic institutions in Israel. Besides the Israeli targets, the Iranian list also marks institutions in Lebanon, Iraq, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait, claiming these are institutions with an American affinity or those serving Western interests in the region.

The Revolutionary Guards clarified that Israeli and American academic institutions are now considered legitimate targets for attack. Tehran claims the step is intended to deter further damage to Iranian science and research infrastructure, warning that any additional harm to their institutions will lead to a direct attack on the published list.
