Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's announcement of accepting Donald Trump's 21-point plan to end the Gaza war has ignited a storm of criticism from the right, including a surprising attack from his former spokesman, Omer Dostri.

In a sharp tweet on X, Dostri labeled the plan a "surrender agreement" and a "complete failure," arguing it would leave Hamas in Gaza, abandon territory to narrow borders, place Gaza under a naive foreign administration, and pave the way for a Palestinian state, canceling the voluntary migration plan.

"The Prime Minister has no mandate to wave a white flag," Dostri declared, reflecting deep frustration within Netanyahu's own circle.

The backlash extended within Likud, where MK Tali Gottlieb criticized Netanyahu for "humiliating himself" with an apology to Qatar, yet acknowledged his intentions for Israel's good.

She doubted Hamas would release hostages within 72 hours, calling it naive. MK Yitzhak Kroizer from Otzma Yehudit echoed the sentiment, tweeting an image of a cap labeled "The Complete Failure," a stark contrast to Netanyahu's "The Complete Victory" narrative.

Hostage families, represented by the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, expressed cautious optimism, thanking Trump but urging swift implementation to bring all hostages home.

Einav Zangauker, mother of a hostage held for 724 days, remained skeptical, accusing Netanyahu of sabotaging past agreements and bombing hostages instead of saving them.

Political reactions were mixed.

Shas chairman Aryeh Deri blessed the plan, hoping for hostage returns by Sukkot, while Benny Gantz praised Trump's efforts but called for action.

Secretary of the Israeli Government Yossi Fuchs defended the plan, claiming it meets all Israeli conditions, yet the feasibility remains contested as Hamas's response looms large.
