Ambassador Gilad Erdan expressed appreciation for the sanctions imposed yesterday by the American Department of State on the organization "Green Without Borders" and for recognizing it as an arm of Hezbollah.

Ambassador Erdan issued a statement to the American media, in which he conveyed his approval of the American government's decision to impose economic sanctions on an organization named "Green Without Borders" and to acknowledge that the organization serves as an additional arm of the terrorist group Hezbollah.

Erdan stated to the American media: "I commend the decision of the United States, and I call on the Security Council to act in accordance with the evidence on the ground, to also declare 'Green Without Borders' as an arm of Hezbollah and to demand the immediate removal of the military facilities established by Hezbollah along the Blue Line under the guise of 'Green Without Borders.'"

Additionally, Erdan called on the United Nations Security Council to take action similar to that of the United States, stating: "The Security Council must demand from Lebanon, already under the renewal of UNIFIL's mandate, the immediate removal of all military facilities constructed by Hezbollah under the guise of 'Green Without Borders,' and allow UNIFIL full implementation of its responsibility, including freedom of action and surveillance in all operational areas. The Lebanese government should be held accountable for the events unfolding within its territory."
