It is permissible to disclose that one of the two wounded individuals in the shooting incident that occurred this evening (Tuesday) on Hawara Road is the nephew of Eliyahu Liebman, the head of the Kiryat Arba-Hebron Council.
"Terrorists funded by the Palestinian Authority attempted to murder my nephew and his friend. By a miracle, thank God, the attack this evening ended with minor injuries," Liebman said after the attack. "We demand that the security forces restore the deterrence, eliminate the terrorists even during the planning stage, and not capture them alive, but rather eliminate them in their beds."
He further called on the Prime Minister and the security establishment: "I call on the government of Israel not to compromise, not to show mercy, to confront the enemy, and exact a high price from the terrorists and their dispatchers. We must not rely on the great miracle that happened here today."
