Attack in Givat HaMivtar: An Arab assailant stabbed a security officer on the light rail in Jerusalem. The injured security officer returned fire and wounded the assailant severely.

A stabbing attack in Givat HaMivtar in Jerusalem. An Arab terrorist stabbed a light rail security guard. The security guard shot and seriously wounded the terrorist. The security guard's situation is easy.

MDA reported: "At 9:02 p.m. MDA's 101 call center in the Jerusalem area received a report of a stabbing wound at the light rail station in Givat HaMivtar in Jerusalem. MDA medics and paramedics provide medical treatment and refer him to Hadassah Hospital in Mount Scopus, a man in The 20th is in mild condition and fully conscious."

MDA emergency medic Haim Blach said: "The injured was at the train station when he was fully conscious. We were told that he was attacked by the terrorist and was slightly injured in his hand. While he was struggling with the terrorist, a policeman who was there assisted him and neutralized the terrorist. We gave the wounded man medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital when his condition was mild."

The police said: A short time ago, the police received a report of the stabbing of a security guard at the light rail station in the Givat HaMivtar area of Jerusalem. As a result, the security guard was slightly injured (according to the medical authorities) and was referred for medical treatment. The suspect in the act was neutralized by shooting, and large police forces of the Jerusalem district under the command of the commander of the Jerusalem district on the spot."

Following the attack, the light rail traffic was stopped and it operates between Pisgat Ze'ev and Ammunition Hill and between Ammunition Hill and Mount Herzl.
