The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reports clashes between the IDF and terrorists along the Gaza border fence, with incidents of violent disruptions occurring in the area.

Military sources report that terrorists breached the border fence and crossed it, igniting an unoccupied military position and then retreated to the Gaza side without incident. The targeted position was empty, and the attack on the position occurred after the IDF had previously struck a Hamas position from the air.

In addition, reports indicate the launching of incendiary balloons from the border area and a fire breaking out in an open area near the settlement of Kfar Azza. The escalation along the Gaza border comes after the IDF targeted a Hamas position from the air yesterday following an attack by a terrorist who fired towards IDF forces from the position. Moreover, in the days leading up to Yom Kippur, the IDF responded several times to the launching of incendiary balloons from the Gaza Strip.
