A serious car accident on the way to the Dead Sea; Route 1 is blocked

A serious car accident occurred between two private vehicles on Highway 1 near the Yishay Camp Junction towards the Dead Sea. According to a preliminary report by medical officials, there are four wounded at the scene in severe, moderate, and light degrees who are being evacuated for medical treatment.

Police traffic examiners are on the scene and the circumstances of the accident are being investigated. Due to the accident, Highway 1 towards the Dead Sea was closed to traffic, and heavy traffic congestion was felt in the area.

The police ask the driving public to use alternative routes and obey the instructions of the police officers on the spot.
