Sara Netanyahu Speaks Out Abroad
Sara Netanyahu Breaks Her Silence: "The Deep State Is Trying to Topple the Government"
In a rare interview with Hungary's pro-government Mandiner newspaper, Sara Netanyahu echoed the Prime Minister’s claims about political sabotage in Israel, discussed her outreach efforts for hostages' families, and emphasized her belief that radical left-wing groups threaten Israeli democracy.

Sara Netanyahu, wife of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, rarely gives interviews. However, during her visit with her husband to Budapest, Hungary, she chose to speak publicly, echoing the claims made by the Prime Minister and his son about the existence of a deep state within Israel.
In her interview with Mandiner, a conservative Hungarian newspaper aligned with Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Netanyahu was described in the headline as "Israel's Iron Lady."
"There are networks operating out of political motives, even conducting campaigns that severely harm Israeli democracy," she said. "They attempt to intimidate individuals and to overthrow an elected government through baseless investigations that collapse one after another. This is an effort to overturn the will of the voters and preserve bureaucratic rule."
Sara Netanyahu added, "It is absurd to summon a Prime Minister to court just two hours after returning from an important diplomatic visit, without allowing a day of rest or showing any discretion. These institutions are supposed to serve all citizens of Israel, not to be used as political tools. It is a dangerous but very real phenomenon."
She stressed that "the problem is not politics itself, but radical left wing groups that refuse to accept the results of democratic elections. Their objective is to bring down a right wing Prime Minister. This is not legitimate criticism. It is subversion."
The interview included friendly questions such as "Rarely is your help to the hostage families discussed" and "How do you manage being a full time mother, a psychologist, and the wife of the Prime Minister?"
Sara Netanyahu replied, "My background in psychology accompanies me in all areas of life, at home and in public service. Fortunately, there is a true partnership between me and the Prime Minister. He supports my work and of course I support him."
Regarding her efforts for the hostage families, Netanyahu explained, "I have sent letters to the wives of world leaders, to the Pope, and to the mother of the Emir of Qatar. I also meet with released hostages. It is a quiet but very important mission. Unfortunately, much of the Israeli media ignores these efforts due to obvious political motives."
Separately, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu testified this morning at the Tel Aviv District Court, stating, "I do not recall Sara ever shouting at Hadas Klein. On the contrary, I remember hugs and kisses."
When asked about personally meaningful moments, Sara Netanyahu pointed to her son Avner winning the National Bible Quiz and the signing of the Abraham Accords with Arab countries, describing it as "a moment when a new future for the Middle East was born."
Regarding her relationship with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Netanyahu noted, "He is a true friend of the State of Israel and of our family. During this visit, I also strengthened my personal connection with his wife Aniko Levai, a warm, wise, and sensitive woman."
