Exclusive to Jfeed - Former Mossad Official claims: "Iranian Submarines in the Mediterranean may Pose a Direct Threat to U.S. Forces and Israel"
Iranian subs operating in the Mediterranean could target American assets, Israeli territory, and key maritime routes.
A former Israeli Mossad agent, speaking to Jfeed on condition of anonymity, revealed that the Islamic Republic of Iran currently has submarines operating in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. According to the former official, both the Israeli and American publics remain largely unaware of this fact.
While Iran’s navy received extensive media attention in the years leading up to the current war, it has seen little real operational activity and has generally been perceived as lacking any significant capability to act.
In previous years, Iran carried out several international maritime violations in key shipping lanes, using naval assets that have since all but vanished from public attention.
