Two Israeli security sources told Iran International that Israel hopes the United States will use its superior firepower to strike Iran’s underground nuclear facility in Fordow. However, they emphasized that Israel may act alone in the coming days, citing its own military capabilities and growing international consensus in its favor.

The sources noted that a joint U.S.-Israeli operation remains the most likely scenario and could take place within the next 48 to 72 hours.

Meanwhile, the New York Post reports that President Donald Trump is leaning toward supporting limited military strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites in Fordow and Natanz, further fueling speculation of imminent action.

Adding to the tension, there are reports of increased logistical movements involving U.S. C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft. Multiple flights have been observed departing NATO bases in Europe and heading toward Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.

These deployments may indicate either a repositioning for potential evacuation or a buildup of military assets.
