Despite Airspace Closure: Israel Receives Large-Scale Military Shipments by Air and Sea


The Israeli Ministry of Defense confirmed to Maariv reporter Avi Ashkenazi that, despite the ongoing closure of Israeli airspace, a massive air and sea lift of U.S.-supplied military equipment and weaponry has been underway in recent days.
According to the ministry, 14 cargo planes carrying military supplies have landed in Israel, and several cargo ships loaded with defense equipment ordered by the ministry have also arrived. These shipments are part of a broader effort to strengthen operational continuity and support all the needs of the IDF, ensuring readiness and stockpiles for the continuation of the war effort.

Origin and Coordination
The shipments are arriving primarily from Germany and the United States and are part of Operation Rising Lion. Since the start of the operation, 14 planes have landed, adding to over 800 aircraft that have landed in Israel since the war began in October 2023.
