Horror: Daughter Buries Holocaust Survivor Mother in Backyard to Keep Collecting Her Money
Police in northern Israel uncovered the body of a 93-year-old Holocaust survivor buried in her backyard. Her daughter and the daughter’s partner allegedly hid her death for months to keep receiving state and survivor benefits.

A shocking case has emerged from the city of Carmiel, where police discovered the body of a 93-year-old Holocaust survivor buried in the yard of her own home, allegedly by her daughter and the daughter’s partner, who concealed her death to continue collecting state welfare payments and Holocaust survivor stipends.
According to the Northern District Police, the investigation began in September, following a report expressing concern for the elderly woman’s safety. When officers arrived at the house, the couple gave conflicting accounts regarding her whereabouts and the circumstances of her death.
After several weeks of investigation, police found the woman’s body in a pit approximately three meters deep, dug into the backyard of the property.
During questioning, the daughter’s partner took his own life in custody, deepening the mystery and outrage surrounding the case.
The 64-year-old daughter has been arrested on suspicion of fraud, obstruction of justice, and violation of legal duty. Investigators believe the pair continued to collect monthly survivor benefits and state allowances for several months after the woman’s death.
Police sources described the case as “one of the most disturbing frauds involving a Holocaust survivor in recent years,” and said the investigation remains ongoing.
