BREAKING: President Trump Announces End of U.S.-Iran War, Claims Iran Has Agreed to Never Pursue Nuclear Weapons

In a surprise announcement during a virtual tele-rally supporting Georgia Lt. Governor candidate Burt Jones, President Donald Trump declared that the United States has ended its war with Iran and secured a commitment from Tehran to abandon its nuclear ambitions.
“I don’t know if you heard, but we ended the war with Iran today, and they have agreed never to have a nuclear weapon,” Trump said while speaking on the phone during the event. “Something that we insisted on. That was our whole purpose. That was 95% of it. And they’ve done it in the most powerful way.”
The roughly 21-second clip, shared widely on social media by open-source intelligence accounts, shows Trump speaking from what appears to be the Oval Office or a similar formal setting.
The claim comes amid a fragile and repeatedly violated ceasefire in the 2025–2026 Iran conflict. A temporary two-week ceasefire was agreed upon in early April 2026, mediated by Pakistan, and later extended indefinitely by the Trump administration. However, both sides have accused each other of violations, with fresh U.S. missile strikes on Iranian targets reported as recently as June 10–11.
Earlier on June 11, Trump had told reporters he had called off planned additional strikes on Iran, citing progress in negotiations. He described a “very strong memorandum of understanding” that had reportedly been approved by Iran’s Supreme Leader, emphasizing that the final deal would ensure Iran never possesses a nuclear weapon.
