The wife and five children of Mohammed Sabri Suleiman, the suspected terrorist behind the Boulder firebomb attack, have been arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), according to officials familiar with the case.

The Trump administration is reportedly moving swiftly to deport the family under a fast-track administrative process that allows federal authorities to remove non-citizens without a court hearing or legal counsel. A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson confirmed the family’s visas had been formally revoked and said deportation proceedings could begin as early as today.

Federal investigators are also reviewing whether Suleiman’s wife or children had any prior knowledge of his plans. Although Suleiman claimed “no one” knew about the attack, and that he “never talked to his wife or family about it,” as stated in the arrest affidavit filed Sunday, authorities remain cautious. Suleiman’s wife has been cooperating with the investigation and reportedly handed over his cellphone, which contained messages linked to the attack.

Suleiman, a 45-year-old Egyptian national, had lived in Colorado Springs since 2022 after arriving on a tourist visa, which expired in 2023. He later applied for political asylum and was granted a legal work permit. He worked as an Uber driver.

According to the federal complaint, Suleiman told investigators that the only reason he delayed his attack was to wait for his daughter to graduate high school. Just three days after her graduation, he traveled to Boulder, leaving an iPhone containing messages to his family hidden in a desk drawer.

On Sunday morning, Suleiman arrived at the “Run For Their Lives” solidarity march for Israeli hostages dressed as a gardener. Wearing an orange vest, he carried a garden sprayer filled with fuel and a bag of flowers concealing improvised Molotov cocktails.

Near the Boulder courthouse, Suleiman pulled out the firebombs and hurled them at the marchers, reportedly shouting “Free Palestine” and “You are murderers.” One bottle hit a crowd directly, while another ignited on the ground.

Twelve people were injured in the attack, including an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor. Eight suffered burns of varying severity, with two still hospitalized: one in serious but stable condition. Four others later sought treatment for lighter injuries in the days following the attack.
