SNL Sinks to Hateful New Low | WATCH
In a pathetic attempt at humor, SNL’s Michael Che weaponized a classic antisemitic smear by claiming Benjamin Netanyahu "controls" the U.S. military. The joke bombed so hard even the live audience was embarrassed by the blatant bigotry.

In a painfully awkward Weekend Update segment last night (April 11, 2026), SNL’s Michael Che dusted off one of the oldest antisemitic conspiracy theories and aimed it straight at Israel.
While discussing Israel’s continued strikes on Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, Che deadpanned:
“Ultimately, that decision comes down to the man controlling our military, Benjamin Netanyahu.”
The screen flashed a photo of Netanyahu as the punchline landed.
Crickets.
The audience offered little more than a weak, scattered chuckle, the kind you hear when even the live crowd knows the joke crossed a line.
Having Michael Che deliver the line didn’t magically make it less racist. It was the exact same “Jews secretly run U.S. foreign policy” smear, just wearing a suit and tie this time.
