Caregiver Indicted for Assaulting Autistic Patients in Central Israel
A 55-year-old caregiver from Rishon LeZion faces serious charges after allegedly shaking a 12-year-old by his hair and pinning an autistic adult to a wall in separate violent incidents.

In a disturbing case involving the abuse of vulnerable individuals, the State Prosecutor’s Office has filed an indictment against Eyal Ben Harush, 55, for the violent assault of two autistic patients under his care.
The indictment, filed Tuesday in the Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court, details two separate incidents occurring at different facilities in the Shfela region where Ben Harush served as a guide and caregiver.
The prosecution, led by Attorney Orad Shalv, described a pattern of aggressive behavior toward both a minor and an adult on the autism spectrum:
The indictment charges Ben Harush with assault of a helpless minor causing actual bodily harm by a responsible party and assault under aggravating circumstances.
The legal proceedings against Ben Harush will continue in the Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court.
