A large-scale national enforcement operation is underway Tuesday in the Arab city of Umm al-Fahm and surrounding areas, part of the ongoing campaign against serious crime in the Arab sector. Hundreds of police officers, Border Police fighters, regulators and enforcement agencies are operating simultaneously to locate and arrest crime and violence perpetrators, strike at the economic infrastructure funding crime, and restore government authority.

Coast District Commander Chief Superintendent Yehiel Bohadana, Deputy Commissioner Chief Superintendent Boaz Blatt, Menashe District Commander Chief Superintendent Roni Peres, Deputy Menashe District Commander Superintendent Dudi Rosenthal, Noa Bar from the Prime Minister's Office staff for combating crime in Arab society, and Attorney Roei Kachlon, head of the Prime Minister's Office staff for combating crime in Arab society, are currently at the joint command post overseeing the operation closely.

The operation, designated as nationally significant for dealing with crime perpetrators in Arab society, is led by the Israel Police and the Prime Minister's Office staff for combating crime in Arab society. All enforcement agencies and regulators are participating, including: the Tax Authority with all its branches, the State Attorney's Office, the Registrar of Contractors at the Ministry of Construction and Housing, the Israel Land Authority, the Consumer Protection and Fair Trade Authority, the Fines Collection Center at the Enforcement and Collection Authority, the Shin Bet security service, the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety, the National Insurance Institute, the Ministry of Labor, the Israel Electric Corporation, the canine unit, the Ministry of Health, the Israel Land Administration, the Israel Airports Authority, the Green Police at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and the Plant Protection and Inspection Services unit at the Ministry of Agriculture.

The operation focuses on three main objectives: locating and arresting crime and violence perpetrators, striking at the economic infrastructure funding crime, and strengthening governance and ensuring public security. The coordinated activity reflects the overall policy of Police Commissioner Chief Superintendent Danny Levy to act proactively, offensively and uncompromisingly against crime perpetrators.
