Tel Aviv police arrested a Yehud-Monosson resident in his 40s on suspicion of breaking into a bakery on Rothschild Boulevard in central Tel Aviv. The suspect was caught carrying property believed stolen from the shop, and an indictment has been filed with a request to hold him in custody until the end of proceedings.
According to the Israel Police spokesperson, the incident took place on October 24 at around 3:00 a.m. Officers from the Lev Tel Aviv station, part of the Yarkon district, were conducting anti-crime patrols on Rothschild Boulevard when they noticed a man leaving a branch of a bakery chain in suspicious circumstances, carrying property believed to have been stolen from the premises.
Officers stopped the suspect on the spot and seized the property. The investigation and indictment reveal that the accused broke into the shop by forcing open a sliding window, damaging the locking mechanism in the process, and stole crates of Coke and bottles of wine worth hundreds of shekels.
