Israeli singer and songwriter Odeya was not pleased with entertainment reporter Gil Mishali of Mako and Channel 12 after he published that she does not intend to vote in Israel's upcoming elections. The report sparked a stir, and apparently left the singer less than satisfied with the media coverage.

The journalist discovered the virtual "boycott" entirely by accident, when he tried to tag the artist in a new post about her, he found to his surprise that her profile was no longer available to him.
