A Montreal café owner just lost her Second Cup franchise after she was caught on camera throwing up a Nazi salute at a protest – while working at, of all places, the Jewish General Hospital.

The franchisee, spotted wearing a keffiyeh during recent pro-Palestinian demonstrations, got the boot after her gesture went viral on social media. Second Cup didn't mince words, announcing they were cutting ties immediately over what they called "hateful remarks and gestures."

"This isn't just about breaking a contract – it goes against everything we stand for," Second Cup said in a statement, making it clear they have "zero tolerance for hate speech."

Quebec Senator Leo Housakos gave the coffee chain props for taking a stand. "Here's a Canadian company putting their money where their mouth is," he said, adding that Second Cup showed "the guts and leadership Canada desperately needs right now."

The incident has stirred up fresh controversy in Montreal, where tensions were already brewing over ongoing protests in the city.
