Donald Trump cracks down hard on this Israel-hating country
"South Africa is confiscating land and treating certain classes of people VERY BADLY," Trump said in a Truth Social post.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced Sunday that he would halt all future aid to South Africa, accusing the country of “confiscating land” and treating “certain classes of people VERY BADLY.” Trump made the claim in a Truth Social post, though he did not provide evidence to support his allegations.
“The United States won’t stand for it, and we will act,” Trump wrote. “I will be cutting off all future funding to South Africa until a full investigation of this situation has been completed!”
In 2023, the U.S. provided nearly $440 million in aid to South Africa, according to government data. Trump’s comments come just weeks after South African President Cyril Ramaphosa signed a bill aimed at accelerating land expropriation in the public interest—a measure intended to address long-standing racial disparities in land ownership.
South Africa’s foreign ministry responded to Trump’s statement, saying, “We trust President Trump’s advisers will make use of the investigative period to attain a thorough understanding of South Africa’s policies within the framework of a constitutional democracy.”
Trump’s remarks have sparked international debate, with critics accusing him of misrepresenting South Africa’s policies, while supporters argue that the U.S. should scrutinize foreign governments receiving American aid.
