Amazon Cargo Plane Veers Off Runway at Miami Airport, Strikes Vehicles and Catches Fire

An Amazon cargo aircraft overran the runway this afternoon while attempting to land at Miami International Airport, striking multiple vehicles before erupting in flames.

Large emergency response teams rushed to the scene. According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, several people were injured in the incident, though authorities have not yet released details about their condition or confirmed any fatalities.

The aircraft, a Boeing 767-300 operating as Flight 7598 for Prime Air, had departed from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Following the crash, heavy flames and smoke were visible from the site, with more than 60 fire and rescue units deployed to the scene.

In the wake of the incident, all runways at the airport were temporarily closed and air traffic operations were halted. Passengers were warned to expect delays and flight cancellations. The Federal Aviation Administration announced it will investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
