Ben Gurion Airport Resumes Full Operations

Management and workers' committee reach agreement to restore normal service and deploy headquarters staff to terminals to ease passenger congestion ahead of High Holidays

Ben Gurion Airport Returns to Full Operations After Labor Dispute

Israel's Airports Authority and its workers' committee announced immediate measures this morning to stabilize operations and reduce congestion at Ben Gurion Airport. The understanding came after a joint meeting aimed at restoring regular service at the country's main international gateway.

Under the agreement, the airport will return to full operational capacity. Ground services, security, and baggage handling are now functioning normally without any work slowdowns.

To quickly address the backlog created by recent disruptions, headquarters and management personnel will join terminal floor shifts, focusing on managing queues and baggage operations. The authority noted that recruitment of new workers continues as planned, part of preparations for the busy period during the Jewish High Holidays in the fall month of Tishrei.

Both management and the workers' committee said they are working together to swiftly restore normal operations at Ben Gurion. Passengers are advised to check updated flight times with their airlines and arrive at the airport according to current guidelines.
