Channel 13 has postponed a scheduled interview with news anchor Eyal Berkowitz following a heated on-air confrontation with Arab anchor Lucy Aharish that has roiled the network's newsroom for days.
According to a report by Ran Boker on Ynet, the network made a last-minute decision to pull Berkowitz's appearance on Omri Assenheim's program, in an attempt to cool tensions that have gripped the channel's news and programming divisions since the incident.
"Calm down, you're not in the village here"
The confrontation erupted during a live broadcast after Berkowitz's co-host Moriah Asraf called for the formation of a "Zionist government." Aharish, responding to those remarks, called them "racist."
