Israeli Defense Forces overnight Monday demolished the residence of the terrorist responsible for a deadly shooting attack in Kfar Etzion approximately two and a half weeks ago.

The operation was carried out by troops from the Samaria Brigade, the Yahalom combat engineering unit, and Border Police forces operating in Judea and Samaria. The attack, which occurred during a routine patrol in the area, claimed the lives of Major Yuval Ezra and reserve Captain Benayahu Melet.

According to an IDF spokesperson, Israeli forces will continue proactive and offensive counterterrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria, and will pursue full legal measures against terrorists who target Israeli citizens. House demolitions are a longstanding Israeli policy aimed at deterring future attacks by imposing consequences on the families of terrorists.
