A dramatic operational achievement on the northern border: Just hours after destroying Hezbollah's terror tunnels in the Ali Taher ridge as part of Operation Flaming Chisel, IDF officials announced Friday that following the destruction of terror infrastructure in the area, no Hezbollah infrastructure remains in Lebanon.
A military source revealed that the entire operation to capture the strategic ridge was a carefully planned deception exercise that the security establishment had been working on for an extended period. The operation combined the 7th Brigade, Golani reconnaissance forces that broke through new routes and completely surprised Hezbollah terrorists, and the Commando Brigade whose fighters manually brought in hundreds of tons of explosives to achieve the complete destruction of the infrastructure.
The military emphasized that all forces of Division 36 have been working tirelessly over the past four months, day and night, to dismantle Hezbollah's most complex and significant infrastructure. Most members of the General Staff were partners in the operation, including the Chief of Staff who closely monitored the progress of activities each night.
