IDF reports 220,000 dunams harvested in West Bank olive harvest operation
The IDF reports that approximately 220,000 dunams have been harvested so far during the olive harvest season in Judea and Samaria, with around 100 coordinated sites operating under security personnel protection. The estimated yield stands at approximately 22,500 tons of olives, producing roughly 5,500 liters of olive oil valued at NIS 225 million. The IDF states that incidents receiving media attention represent only a small percentage of harvest areas, with the vast majority of operations proceeding as planned without unusual incidents. Significant reinforcements have been deployed to the Central Command, including the 98th Division Headquarters, a Paratroopers Brigade task force, a regular battalion, and Border Police companies to facilitate the harvest, prevent friction and violence, and counter terrorism.
