Tal Yinon Dardik, an Israeli activist whose administrative detention sparked controversy last month, has been arrested in northern Israel for allegedly violating a restraining order five times, according to a report Thursday by i24 News. The order prohibited him from entering Samaria.
Dardik was released from administrative detention without restrictive conditions less than a month ago, following a 38-day hunger strike he conducted in protest of the detention order. The administrative detention order had been issued against him by Central Command chief Avi Bluth.
Before his release, a Jerusalem Magistrate's Court hearing addressed his case, with the presiding judge criticizing the conduct of the Jerusalem District Police in handling the proceedings.
