The Israeli military has announced that forces from the 36th Division have completed clearing Hezbollah's underground infrastructure in the Ali Taher Ridge area of southern Lebanon and are now working to neutralize it. According to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, Israeli forces have established operational control throughout the ridge area, both above and below ground, clearing the territory of militants. Some were eliminated during the operation, while others fled the area.

The military emphasized that while the clearing operation is complete, work continues on neutralizing the underground infrastructure. "After the neutralization work is finished, the IDF will reorganize its defensive posture according to the situation assessment," officials stated.
Militants operating from these underground facilities had been executing terror plans against Israel and IDF forces. The recent weeks of operations in these tunnels have eliminated the capability to carry out attacks against Israeli civilians and military personnel from within the underground network.
The subterranean infrastructure included command centers, weapons storage rooms, generator rooms, living quarters, showers, and kitchens, allowing militants to conduct operations and remain underground for extended periods. The IDF described it as "a strategic infrastructure built over two decades, financed and planned by the Iranian terror regime."
Israeli forces continue operations to secure the area in southern Lebanon, the military said, and "will not allow the Hezbollah terror organization to advance terror plans against them." The statement added that "any attempt by Hezbollah to act against IDF forces will be met with force. The IDF remains committed to the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon."
