Israeli Defense Minister denies reports of disagreements with IDF over Iran attack plans
Defense Minister Israel Katz dismissed reports of disagreements between political leadership and the IDF regarding Iran as "completely baseless and false." Katz stated unequivocally that Israel had no intention of initiating an attack on Iran before the Israeli elections, but made clear that if Iran were to attack Israel, the response would be "overwhelming force." He called attempts by opposition figures to exploit the reports to attack the Prime Minister and himself "disgraceful and irresponsible," noting that for understandable reasons, officials cannot comment on details of the Iranian issue.
