Israeli Man Missing After Entering Palestinian Village in Samaria (West Bank)

Israeli security forces have been conducting extensive search operations in the West Bank since overnight, following reports that a resident voluntarily entered a Palestinian village in the region and has not returned. The missing man has been identified as Yaniv Sardel, 53, a resident of the settlement city of Ariel. He was last seen Wednesday evening in the Ariel area.

Upon receiving the report, Israel Police forces together with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched search operations for the missing man. Security agencies established a joint command center, deploying various technological capabilities, intelligence-gathering efforts, and specialized units including the elite Matzada unit of the Israel Prison Service. A police helicopter from the aerial division was also dispatched in an effort to locate him while ensuring his safety and security.

According to statements from Israel Police, the Shin Bet security service (Israel's internal security agency), the Israel Prison Service, and the IDF, efforts to locate the missing man are continuing.

Description of the missing person: approximately 1.78 meters (5'10") tall, black hair, dark brown eyes, slim to medium build. Last seen wearing: black shorts, black shirt, and white flip-flops.
