Radio Host Cut Ties Over Netanyahu Support

Eyal Berkowitz of Radio 103FM told a guest on-air that he has ended friendships with people he describes as "Bibists"

Radio 103FM host Eyal Berkowitz made a striking personal disclosure during a live broadcast on Monday, telling guest Erel Segal that he has ended friendships over political differences. "The entire Bibist side --- I can't stand you," Berkowitz said, using the Hebrew term for Netanyahu supporters. "I'm sitting here with you, I respect you, but I can't stand that you're blind, that you're slaves. I have friends that I cut off contact with because they're Bibists."

Berkowitz also commented on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's interview Sunday night on Channel 14's Patriots program, saying: "It's the first time I've seen Netanyahu afraid of someone. Wow, how scared he is of Ofer Winter." Winter is a former IDF brigade commander known for his religious views.

The comments came after Netanyahu posted a video Sunday night that sparked widespread controversy. In the clip, the prime minister compared himself to a child subjected to a class boycott.

The comparison drew sharp criticism on social media, with many arguing that it is Netanyahu who has ostracized the political left, not the other way around. The video added to ongoing tensions in Israeli public discourse over the deep political divisions that have marked Netanyahu's current term in office.
