Lavrov says NATO-style military bloc in Asia being seriously discussed

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the creation of a military-political bloc in Asia modeled on NATO is being seriously discussed. He said the proposed organization has been given the name "Indo-Pacific Treaty Organization," describing it as a copy of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Lavrov noted that work on this initiative began several years ago.
