Yanis Yoshvaev, identified as the leader of a Caucasian organized crime network, was killed in a shooting at a gas station near the Caesarea interchange on Sunday afternoon. According to I24NEWS reporter Lee Ayash, Yoshvaev was a primary target of the Israeli police's coastal district crime unit. The assailant reportedly approached while Yoshvaev had his back turned and fired at close range.

Emergency services received the initial report at 3:51 PM through the Magen David Adom (Israel's national emergency medical service) hotline for the Sharon region. A man approximately 45 years old had been shot at the fuel station located west of the Caesarea interchange.

The victim was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Police identified him as Yoshvaev, a central figure in organized crime operations who had been under active investigation by law enforcement authorities.

Paramedics and emergency medical teams, including ambulances, mobile intensive care units, and motorcycle medics from Magen David Adom, rushed to the scene. They found the victim lying on the ground without a pulse and not breathing.

Medical crews immediately began advanced life-saving procedures, including resuscitation efforts and hemorrhage control. The victim was evacuated urgently to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera, with paramedics continuing resuscitation attempts during transport.

MDA paramedics Idan Almelach and Shaham Asraf, along with motorcycle unit medic Elchanan Kafir, described the emergency response: "We received a report about an injured person from a violent incident. When we arrived at the scene, we identified a man around 45 years old who was unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, suffering from significant penetrating injuries to his body. While performing advanced resuscitation procedures and providing initial treatment for his injuries, we evacuated him to the hospital in critical condition as we fought for his life."

Large police forces from the Hadera station arrived quickly at the scene and launched an intensive investigation. Officers began collecting forensic evidence, interviewing eyewitnesses, and reviewing security camera footage from the gas station and nearby traffic routes to trace the escape route of those involved.

According to police spokespersons, investigators from Hadera station opened an investigation immediately upon receiving the shooting report and began extensive searches for suspects. Police launched a widespread manhunt, deployed roadblocks on major traffic arteries in the Caesarea area and surrounding regions, and are examining all investigative leads to determine the background and circumstances that led to the incident.
