US President Donald Trump told reporters Monday evening that he believes Iran was behind the attempted attack on a Fly Dubai flight last week.
"I think Iran is connected to the attack attempt," Trump stated, though investigators have not yet proven a link between the Omani pilot who tried to crash the plane and the radical Islamic state.
The president also revealed that a specific Iranian threat prompted the rapid evacuation of B-2 bombers from Britain.
According to a New York Times report, the evacuation was carried out with unusual speed over the weekend. The urgency was so great that some of the bombers and air crews took off for the United States while the aerial refueling aircraft summoned to assist them were still in the process of preparing.
