A Jewish passenger on American Airlines flight AA 2692 from LaGuardia to Miami on January 29 has filed a complaint against flight attendant Miguel for wearing a keffiyeh, which the passenger claims violated the airline's dress code and made them feel unsafe. The complainant compared it to wearing a KKK robe or swastika flag in a viral social media post.
American Airlines confirmed an investigation, noting the keffiyeh is not part of the approved uniform.
This incident follows similar controversies, including crew members wearing pro-Palestine symbols like watermelon pins, which have led to passenger disputes and accusations of antisemitism.
No disciplinary actions have been announced yet.
