Secret Hamas Letter to Iran Rejects Disarmament, Urges Escalation

The letter presents a far more aggressive tone than a separate public message Hamas released over the weekend. In that public statement, the group appeared to strike a more cautious note, urging Iran not to target neighboring Gulf countries despite the escalating conflict between Iran, Israel, and the United States.

A secret message sent by Hamas to Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei reveals the terrorist organization encouraging a wider regional war while rejecting any possibility of disarmament, according to a report broadcast Sunday by KAN News.

“While the group affirms Iran’s right to respond to this aggression by all available means in accordance with international norms and laws, it calls upon our brothers in Iran not to target neighboring countries,” Hamas said in the public statement.

Behind the scenes, however, the organization reportedly sent a very different message.

According to the KAN report, the secret letter encourages Iran to expand the conflict across multiple fronts and expresses full support for Tehran’s leadership of the so-called “axis of resistance.” Hamas told Khamenei that it stands “with all its weight” behind Iran in confronting what it described as “Zionist-American” aggression.

The letter also made clear that Hamas has no intention of giving up its weapons, rejecting what it described as attempts to “tie the hands of the resistance under the cover of agreements.”

In addition, Hamas mocked several Gulf states that have pursued normalization or closer ties with Israel, calling them part of a “losing camp.” The letter criticized those countries for failing to defend individuals who had taken refuge at their bases during recent Iranian missile attacks in the region.

Hamas also pledged continued cooperation with other Iranian-backed groups throughout the Middle East. The message specifically referenced allied forces in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq, promising that “under your leadership, we will create the next victories.”

Israel’s Foreign Ministry responded sharply after the report became public, describing the document as a “smoking gun” showing Hamas aligning itself with Iran while disparaging Arab governments in the Gulf.

The letter’s emergence highlights the deepening alignment between Hamas and Tehran as the regional conflict intensifies. It also underscores the gap between the organization’s public messaging, which appears aimed at avoiding alienating Arab governments, and its private communications encouraging broader escalation across the Middle East.
