Iran’s state-run Mehr News Agency reported Thursday evening that Iranian air defense systems were actively engaging what it described as “hostile targets” in parts of the capital, Tehran.

  • Eyewitness videos circulating on social media show flashes in the night sky, plumes of smoke, and what appears to be ground-based anti-aircraft fire over Tehran and nearby areas such as Karaj.
