Obama criticizes Israel's approach in remarks during Ireland visit

Former US President Barack Obama criticized Israel's regional strategy during remarks in Ireland, stating that an approach of "doing whatever we think is necessary, taking whatever we want, and not conceding anything to anyone" might work short-term but causes Israel to "lose your moral advantage." Obama acknowledged Jewish historical suffering and the need for refuge, but added: "there is also no dispute about the fact that they took land from other people and went too far in their actions." He said Palestinians understandably view this as "an injustice" and want their land back.
